Paneer tikka kathi roll

Kathi rolls are street food originated in kolkata, but now are famous across the country. It is a quick, healthy and nutritious recipe which consists of whole wheat flour roti/tortillas stuffed with marinated and lightly fried paneer cubes. So lets get started.
Preparation time: 15 min
Cooking time: 20 min
Serving: 2

Ingredients needed:
1.) Cottage cheese/paneer - 1 small bowl
2.) Whole wheat flour tortillas - 4
3.) Onion - 1 large chopped (1/2 for paneer mixture and other half for layering roll)
4.) Bell pepper - 1 large chopped
5.) Cheese (optional) - 1 small bowl
6.) Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp
7.) Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
8.) Salt - as per taste
9.) Chaat masala powder - 1 tbsp
10.) Ginger and garlic paste - 1 tsp
11.) Oil - 2-3 tbsp
12.) Butter - For brushing tortillas
13.) Yogurt - 3 tbsp(thick)
14.) Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
15.) Tomato ketchup - 4 tbsp
16.) Red hot sauce/chilli sauce (optional) - 4 tbsp
17.) Ground flour(besan) - 1/2 tbsp

Preparation:
1.) Take a bowl, add yogurt, besan, all the powdered spices and mix it well. Now add paneer cubes and marinate it for 15 mins. (Besan is added to make the marinade thick and to coat it well on cubes).

2.) By the time, paneer cubes are marinated, chop bell pepper and onion into thin slices.

Method:
1.) Heat oil in a pan. Saute onion and bell pepper for few mins.
2.) Add Paneer cubes into the pan and let it cook for 10 mins with occasional stirring. Add little amount of salt, chaat masala powder, chilli powder for onion and bell pepper. (Remember we have already added spices in marinade of paneer so don't add too much.)
3.) Cook till dry and set aside.
4.) Divide the filling into four equal portions. Roast a tortilla or left over roti on a heated tawa. Spread the sauces, stuffing, sliced onion over it. Finally sprinkle some cheese( it is totally optional, my family like it this way).
5.) Roll it tightly and warm it both sides on tawa by spreading some butter on it and serve it hot. Yummy 😋😋
